1. Are your candles soy based?
No &Yes ...our candles are not primarily soy based. We use a high quality custom paraffin formula. All candles have some paraffin and soy. The main difference between soy and paraffin products are the percentage of soy in the candle.
2. Don't soy based candles burn cleaner than others?
Not really, many believe that soy candles burn cleaner because they don't see the black soot on the jars. Any candle will produce this soot if the wick is not regularly trimmed and burned longer than the instructions indicate.
3. I have bought some very expensive candles from a nationally sold manufacturer, how do you get yours to burn longer and smell better than them?
Unlike some companies we use high quality ingredients and wax formulas. This gives our customers a long burning and highly scented candle. Some manufacturers use a solid core of wax and then just dip the candles in a scented wax. Ours are scented wax through and through.
4. Why are your candles so inexpensive?
We are a small home based family ran business and have lower operating costs. Because of this we can offer high quality candles at reasonable prices.
5. Do you manufacture pillar candles?
We do not manufacture a line of pillar candles... We do believe that container candles are safer to burn and it helps to preserve the scent longer.
6. How do I get all the wax out of a container?
There are several ways that this can be accomplished however the easiest is to place the container in the freezer for several hours. This will shrink the wax away from the sides and allow for the wax to be easily taken out or scraped out of the container.
7. Do candles contain lead?
There is no lead in candle wax, and no member of the National Candle Association (which accounts for 90 percent of all candles made in the U.S.) uses lead wicks. NCA members voluntarily agreed more than 25 years ago not to use lead wicks.
8. What sort of chemical reaction is created by burning a candle?
When a candle burns, the flame "consumes" the wax to produce water vapor and carbon dioxide, the same harmless byproducts humans produce when exhaling. This is true for all types of candle waxes.
